Thank you. so much for the excellent care that you give my dad. I know that you were a great help and comfort to both my mom and dad and that he had a lot of good days that he was able to enjoy more at the end. Thank you very much for you services and your caring hearts. You do a very difficult job, but it means so much to so many families.

A. B. and The S. Family

Thank you to all the hospice nurses who took care of Mom at [her skilled nursing facility]. Thank you also for the floral arrangement. Special thanks to Jennifer who came to help the day Mom died. She is a very special person who provided such comfort.

J. C.

Thank you for all of your support with Dad’s journey through palliative care and hospice. I know he could not have had as comfortable a path without all of you. Thank you for the red rose as well; it was a special sentiment.

P., A., K., and J.

Thank you so much for the loving care and attention that you gave our sister and her family. As her sisters, it was difficult to be so far from her and her family in their time of need. However, we did gain some solace knowing that she was in the care of competent and selfless people.

J. R. and H. K.

I want to sincerely thank you for the wonderful care my mom received from you. I always knew you were the best when working at [skilled nursing facility], but when I personally experienced your compassionate care up close, you were all that I hoped for. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, especially Jennifer, Allie, and Dr. Plescia. I know you will continue to be a blessing to many people.

A. M.

We were so very grateful when Serenity Hospice entered our lives and eased our burdens and anxieties. We were treated with the utmost kindness and respect.

M. W.

[We] are so glad we let your wonderful nurses and CNAs care for our much loved [one]. We saw the kindness of everyone and the gentle way you treated our husband and father. For Mariah and Melissa, who gave us so much time and knowledge and who, in the end, convinced us of the right thing to do, thank you doesn’t seem enough.

M. M. and S. F.

On behalf of my brother, our families, and myself, I want to express our deepest gratitude to your entire team. This was our first experience with hospice care, and while the journey was difficult, your staff provided the support and compassion we didn’t know we needed.

From the moment we enrolled in your services, Cassie stood out as exceptional. Making the decision to begin hospice care was not easy, and we were under a tight timeline. I needed to return home [out of state] within 24 hours. Cassie immediately recognized the urgency of the situation and worked tirelessly throughout the day to ensure my father was admitted by 6 p.m. that same evening. She coordinated with [his care facility] to have the necessary paperwork transferred, and thanks to her dedication, we were able to begin care without delay. Her responsiveness and commitment made a lasting impression and reflected the importance your team places on each patient.

That same evening, we met Lexi, whose professionalism and warmth brought immediate comfort. She took time to explain everything directly to my dad, without rushing or glossing over details. Her calm demeanor and clear communication helped put our minds at ease during those first few overwhelming hours.

Rachel visited us over the weekend when my dad was experiencing discomfort. Her clinical skill and gentle approach made him feel safe and respected. She asked the right questions, ones only a licensed professional would know how to approach, and her presence was both reassuring and necessary in that moment.

Allie, one of your CNAs, brought light and kindness to what was a very vulnerable time. She always asked for permission before assisting Dad, which helped him feel more comfortable. When she asked if he was talkative and we said he wasn’t, she knew exactly how to handle the visit with grace and sensitivity. Each time she saw him, we felt a great sense of relief knowing he was in capable, compassionate hands.

Laurie, our primary nurse, played an instrumental role in ensuring we were prepared in every sense. She not only evaluated his needs and helped us manage his medications, but she also seemed to sense what might be ahead. Her guidance and encouragement helped us feel more confident and equipped, especially going into the final weekend.

On the day we lost Dad, Jen, the on-call nurse, was a steady and compassionate presence. She immediately recognized that he was in respiratory distress and gently convinced him to accept oxygen. She gathered our family and, with such clarity and grace, explained that Dad was actively dying. It was a shock. He had been so full of life the day before, but Jen’s support helped us understand and navigate the moment. She administered morphine as needed and, perhaps most profoundly, offered to pray with us. As we surrounded him with love and prayer, Dad passed peacefully. It was heartbreaking, yet beautiful in its own way. Jen remained with us afterward, even involving my nieces, who aspire to become nurses, in preparing him for the funeral home. Her presence turned a painful experience into one filled with love, respect, and dignity.

Each of your team members contributed to making those final eleven days with Dad feel meaningful and supported. The ability to go through this journey in the comfort of his own home was a gift we’ll never forget.

To everyone who provided direct care, to the individuals who took our calls, thank you for providing a team that leads with compassion, professionalism, and genuine care. We are forever grateful.

With a heartfelt thank you,

Family of B. V.

Thank you so much for all your help and caring. [My loved one] and I couldn’t have gotten through this without you and your help. As wonderful as you all are, my husband, my love and life was the very best part of my life. Life without him, life will be hard, but knowing he is running with his wild animals makes me smile for him! I could not have asked for better help and care! A special thank you to Laurie (his nurse) who he really liked and I too like. She was greally great with him and me. So thank you!

K. W.

Dear Diane (Serenity RN),

I wanted to make sure you knew how very grateful I am for the tender and comforting care you gave my aunt. Hospice was a four-letter word to her having recently watched her sister and a beloved friend pass away quickly after entering hospice. … I want you to know, too, how much I valued your support as well. To be able to talk honestly and have you level with me about your observations of my aunt’s health illuminated the path on this map-less journey and helped guide my next steps. You are an angel on earth!

Thank you!!!
-R.
