Thank you for the loving care you provided our Mom. The baths, hair washing, nail polishing, and the doll to love showed us how much you cared for her.
We greatly appreciated the attention Jennifer, April, Sheila, Bev and Connie, along with the rest of your staff we did not interact directly with, gave to our Mom.
The Children of G.R.
Cori, thank you for the special massage therapy of which my mother thoroughly enjoyed. Chaplain Little, thank you giving my mother your red rose and reciting such meaningful prayers. Jennifer, thank you for washing my mother’s hair. You and April work well together. April, I know that you were well intended to move mother to your fabulous location, but because my immediate family lived so close [to the nursing facility], I felt it was best to have mother remain in familiar surroundings. You are an exceptional nurse. The ladies that answer the phone lines are gifted with soothing voices. Dr. Kalweit is a forever wonder woman. Thank you Allison for your help and patience as a social worker. Erin, thank you for your guidance with registration. Corrine, thank you for your willingness to meet with the family at OSF. Brenda, thank you for being my Serenity contact. Cori, thank you for calling me at home. There was an outstanding nurse and CNA sub for April and Jenn. I am eternally grateful to you, too. Thank you to Brenda, Margaret, Dawn, Val, Cheryl, J.C. and Connie. You make an exceptional TEAM. God love you.
L. and J. P. and Families
My mom was so grateful for the care provided by Whitney, Jen B., and Dr. Kalweit. We, her family, appreciate the outstanding care that you all provided for my mom. I also want to thank Val, who admitted Mom. Tracy, who checked in on Mom and our family. April, and Corrine who provided extra visits when necessary, and Bev who came in the middle of the night to provide care at the end.
I also appreciate the kindness and support given to me by my coworkers. You were there with understanding and hugs whenever I needed them. I know some of you took on extra work in order to allow me time to care for my Mom. Thank you to the Palliative team-Whitney, Maggie, Tracy, Kacey and Dr. Kalweit, Mandy, and anyone else who adjusted schedules to allow me the time with my Mom. This is a gift I will never forget.

No words can express how much Serenity Hospice & Home helped us during the recent passing of our father. Your compassionate staff helped us through a very difficult time, and we will forever be grateful.
The whole experience was truly a remarkable and memorable experience as our dad passed in the most peaceful of ways. From the moment we arrived we knew our dad was in God’s hands. We were so appreciative of all the food, beverages, and provisions provided by the wonderful donations of your community and staff. Our dad passed on the evening of a big snowstorm and we three sisters were not able to leave. We were so blessed and thankful to be able to remain at “Serenity,” which was such a serene place for us to be at, at that time.
Family of R. M.
The care you provided Mom, in concert with the staff on the Terrace, was nothing less than outstanding. I appreciated the phone calls ensuring that we were satisfied with the care and sincerely asking me if there was anything you could do to improve the care.
You ensured Mom had everything she needed as well as kept me informed of changes, problems, and progression. Even though Mom could not communicate much towards the end of her life, you were able to sort out her needs and keep her comfortable. During her last couple of days, she was comfortable and seemed at peace; not fighting the dying process.
Thank you for doing this most important work with the utmost of love and care.
E.K.
We want to thank everyone who played any part in the care of my Mom while she was in your Home. The love and compassion that was shown to her and to all of us was very much appreciated. We are so fortunate and blessed to have such a wonderful facility so close to home! Thank you also to the caring staff who took care of Mom while she was at Pinecrest. Every single person involved have touched our hearts and we are forever thankful!
