Textile Recycling

Textile baling partnership benefits Serenity Hospice & Home and the Village of Progress.

The Incredible Benefits

  • WIN for Serenity to further their mission through proceeds raised!
  • WIN for Village of Progress employment opportunities and proceeds!
  • WIN in keeping textiles out of landfills!

Textile recycling is a pay-it-forward business model that provides assistance in many ways and has a worldwide impact. Recycling is an environmentally-friendly solution for unsalable items.

The recycled items that are donated benefit individuals in all parts of the world and the proceeds help two non profits at a time when traditional funding has been reduced.

How It Works…

  • You collect and donate clothing, linens, purses and even belts.
  • Serenity staff and volunteers collect and sort items.
  • Village of Progress consumers fill the clothes baler and wrap the 1,000 lb. clothing bales.
  • Village of Progress stores the inventory of bales in their warehouse.
  • A vendor purchases the bales, picks them up and distributes the clothing to Africa, and Central and South America.
