A group of Serenity volunteers regularly gathers to share their love of reading as part of our volunteer book club, and recently they had a truly special experience!

The group gathered at @The Village Bakery to discuss “They Called Him LongMan” and meet local author Beth George, who writes under the pen name Georgia Lovett. The book follows a missionary in Papua New Guinea, weaving together an intriguing family dynamic, alternating timelines, and drama that reaches back to the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Our book club members enjoyed thoughtful conversation with Beth, book signings, special bookmarks, and, most importantly, a wonderful time together!
