Art Dash Raises Over $30,000 For Serenity

It was more than a dash of art for an event that sold out just weeks after tickets were available. Serenity Hospice & Home is thankful to the 237 people who participated in the third annual Art Dash fundraiser at the River’s Edge Experience on April 10, 2024, in Oregon, IL. The event featured 92 unique pieces of artwork, from a decorative wood table to skillful paintings, photography, and more.

It was a unique and energetic evening surrounded by splendid art and live music complete with engaging spectators, artists, and those who dashed around the event space seeking their most coveted artwork to take home. The event, organized by Karen Virnoche and James Brown, drew 92 people and featured art donated by 75 artists for the event. In addition to art, participants delighted over appetizers crafted by Chefs Susan, Michael, and Bryce Maddox, and at intermission, an enormous spread of desserts was donated by area master dessert makers and greatly enjoyed by those with a sweet tooth.

Over $30,000 was raised to help Serenity go above and beyond to provide bereavement care throughout the community and integrated therapies for patients in need. Over 80 individuals, businesses, and organizations financially sponsored or donated dessert items, ensuring a successful opportunity for everyone in attendance.

Serenity Hospice & Home is the only five-star rated non-profit organization in the area serving nine counties throughout northern Illinois and celebrating 40 years of hospice and palliative care for those in need.
