December 2025 Thanks

Thanks abound! We are overjoyed to receive generous gifts in December. Some donations are anonymous, some are from organizations, and all are a tremendous gift to support patient care at Serenity Hospice and Home.

Some of the recent gifts include:

  • Around $22,000 was raised from the annual Giving Tuesday event on December 2. Thanks to the over 50 donors who donated and to the A. Charles and Lillemor Lawrence Foundation for their matching $5,000 gift.
  • The 30th Annual Angel Ball was the final Angel Ball fundraiser benefiting Oregon Rotary, The Village of Progress, and Serenity Hospice and Home. We looked back at 30 years throughout the event and enjoyed food, drink, raffles, entertainment, and more.
  • A fundraiser combined the power of Burn N’ Bush and Game Day Apparel to benefit Serenity. We loved visiting with both groups before Christmas and humbly accepting a check from their recent fundraiser to benefit Serenity.
  • We enjoyed conversation and giving a tour of the Serenity Home for our friends at the Masonic Lodge #274 in Byron, IL. They gave us a generous donation to help Serenity Hospice and Home.
  • The Rochelle Area Community Foundation provided Serenity with a grant to serve Thanksgiving and Christmas meals to patient families. Hazel’s Cafe in Oregon, IL donated cookies for us to include with the Christmas meals.
  • The Leydig Center in Dixon, IL, dropped off beautiful Christmas cards for Serenity to use for patients and staff.
