Local Men Sell Firewood to Benefit Serenity

Serenity House does an amazing job giving comfort and dignity to individuals with health issues,” said Mike Austin, “This is our way of thanking them for what they do.” Austin and Leon Kitzmiller sell wood to benefit Serenity. They split the wood and put it in a trailer parked at Fortune Automotive in Byron. Attached to the trailer is a box for donations and all proceeds go to Serenity. The trailer is marked with a banner identifying it as a fundraiser for Serenity. The banner was donated by Glen Wierski at Select-A-Sign in Byron. There is no ash in the wood selection only cherry, walnut and Oak. Volunteers are always needed for this project! If interested in learning about helping, call Maia at 815-732-2499.
